shifting problem

I have an 81 searay express today i put the boat in reverse and nothing stuck in nuetral. shut engine off and moved the throttle/shifter back an forth a bunch then i restarted it and put it in reverse and it went in gear. then it wouldnt go in forward. So i shut it off again went back and forth again. Started it and now i only have forward in both directions. Any guesses out there?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,....What motor,..?? What drive,..?? Who's motor, 'n drive,..??

So far,... I'd say it's Broken....

Have ya checked Anything aft of the helm controller,..??..??

lower shift cable is binding and needs adjusting or replacing.

any chance you just replaced the impeller, if no, what work has been done.
