Polling the think tank for info and experience. Just replaced the fiber washers on the forward mount. Everything is looking good to install the engine into the Boat (1978 Glastron cvx16ss) ive got the locking nuts loose to allow for adjustment if nesc. when the alignment proceedure is at hand. There's been new wood installed in the deck directly below the mounts and re fiberglassed three layers which will be predrilled and bolted with lag screws as original. So i guess what i'm asking is has anyone replaced the wood and adjusted as needed during the alignment proceedure . my plan is to lower into boat and get the back motor mounds threaded finger tight, predrill forward mount holes after an alignment tool is installed. Tighten rear mounts and then tighten front mounts. to include snugging up the front lock nuts. Re check alignment tool (three finger tight rule) rotate 90 or 180 degrees and recheck alignment.
any thoughts or advice to help make this a smooth operation is greatly appreciated.
