Hello gang. I have a 1988 alpha one on a 4.3L which I recently replaced the shift shaft and drive shaft seals due to leakage. After repairs unit held 14psi for over 45min. When I filled with oil the weep hole started leaking lube in about ten minutes! Is this even possible? I put the new water pump, drive shaft, bell housing taker kit in as usual. Just not sure how this is possible? Any thoughts would be devine!

Did you clean out the fwd housing where the weep hole is? They tend to get debris in them, they still might weep but if there was any oil left in there it'll come out! I alway's tip them upside down and blow them out with air hose, and a long nozzle.

I let the unit drain overnight wiped it clean this morning and it was dry when I got home so I threw the gauge on it for 45 min. Held good so I filled it up again. I'm not computing how air will hold but oil will leak. What else are we missing?
