at the beginning of the summer i did a full service on the motor i purchased. 2003 Johnson 15hp. i replaced the foot oil, spark-plugs, and impeller. all testing in yard went great busted off with the 1st pull every time, and started peeing instantly with the muffs on. now i took it to the river last weekend and looked back to find it not peeing after a few seconds of running so i revved it up a little and it started peeing like normal and ran fine the hole trip.
is this normal? i figured, it pee'd instantly with the muffs because of the water hose pressure. i wouldn't think there would be a thermostat on these small motors.
