THROTTLE CONTROL

I have a 1985 Regal Ambassador with a 350 mercruiser, the neutral button on the control will no longer depress to disengage the forward and reverse. Does anyone know how to repair this problem or can anyone give me a direct replacement part # for this controller. The controller is a quicksilver with the tilt control on the throttle knob.

It sounds like a Commander 3000 box I hate the things there is a kit avaliable to repair that problem but you will need a repair manual as they are difficult to repair :eek: :confused: :mad:

Not sure if it is a commander 3000, the handle on mine is silver all the way to the black knob. The commander 3000 looks black asll the way on the handle.

The controller on my Regal is similar to model 88688A25 except for the black handle on the top, mine is more of a knob with the trim control built in.
