Exhaust Riser temperature switch question

Hi

Does anyone know the switching temperature of the exhaust riser temperature switches on a 5.7Gi.

I presume they are normally open until a set temperature, and then close to activate the alarms. But at what temperature? I have tested mine in boiling water and they still don't switch closed circuit.

Or are they temperature sensors, and what is the resistance range?
