mercruiser 4.3 lx, alpha one gen II, 1992. read in service manual 14 about pulling out gear shift rod from lower unit along with bushing/seal assembly without taking apart rest of lower unit. then it says to see installation manual for instructions on putting rod back in. where is the installation manual or what is the trick to putting it back in?
