Hello i have a 25 horse mercury 2 stroke. it does not have power tilt/trim. The hooks that lock the motor down while it is in gear are not unlocking when it is out of gear, it is a long shaft motor on a 15 foot aluminum flat bottom so this becomes a problem when taking it out, and putting it into water. Because the prop will drag on the ground. So i have to manually try to lift the hook up and pull the motor up at the same time while im in the boat and it is a pain in the butt to do this everytime. any suggestions on how to fix this? im about to tie a rope on it and just use that to pull it up.
