I have a 1991 mercury xr4 150hp motor a few days ago it started surging at WOT kinda like i was running out of gas but ran fine at 3/4 throttle no problems at idle either. Thought maybe a clogged fuel filter or pinched hose and/or line. couldn't find anything though. This morning it wouldn't even idle, it wont take off just runs for a sec with high idle up and soon as i put high idle bar down and put it in forward it is bogging down. Could this be a power pack issue or plugs maybe or possibly something else in the fuel line? Does anyone have any ideas?
