I have a 91 Mariner 90hp and have been replacing the voltage regulator with 5 wires coming out of it. my question is, does it matter which yellow wires go on which terminal on the rectifier? I was not present for the dis-assembly and cant figure out which yellow wires match up on the rectifier from the stater and the regulator. I was told at one point that it doesnt matter but I am not about to take the chance of smoking the new regulator. Also I wiring diagram for this design would be very helpful!
