Grinding noise in my 1989 cobra 3.0

I took out my boat for the first time this year and the belt started screeming so we used belt dressing and it stopped but the next day there was a grinding noise from the engin that to me sounded like a bad bearing. Any ideas what that might be coming form?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,... My guesses are the alternator, or the cirulatin' pump...

I had a power steering hose let go on me couple weeks ago. The pump went dry fast. This created a very interesting sound.

I know, I know< but finally I was able to get back to the boat! It was the circulating pump that was causing the noise.
