I have a Belgium made 90hp mariner made in 1991, on the water yesterday and a warning alarm came on, and went off erraticly long beeps, short beeps, and all sorts of beeping and constant beeps with no regularty at all, I thought is was a loose connection somewhere. I tried it on the shore with a cold engine and it gave a constant beeep as soon as I turned the key and after about 30 seconds of the engine running the alarm went off. I disconnected the oil low sensor ages ago as it was beeping all the time. When I was on the water and the beeping started I felt the top of the engine and it wasnt too hot and it had a good pee stream of cold water. There is half a tank of oil so I guess oil isnt the problem. Is there a way to test the oil low module easily? as I have read that could be the problem. I also think it could have wiring problems as the push in key choke doesnt work, how do I test it? Or could it be a problem in the morse control?
Thanks guys.
