1995 115ho V4 on turbojet fuel pump question...

I have a Four Winns jet with the Evinrude 115 hp V4. I have removed the oil injection. I would like to put a stand alone fuel pump on this motor and completely take off the VRO.

Can anyone tell me what fuel pump (part number if you got it) would go on this setup? To clarify, this is an Evinrude outboard power head on a turbo jet.

Thank you

I have a 95 fling as well. I recently got the boat running after storing it for 5 years.

I may be wrong but i believe you can just cap off the oil inlet side of the vro and just use it to pump fuel to the engine. That way you just mix it in the tank. I may be wrong but if i am im sure someone more knowledgeable will chime-in in a few. Hope that helps.

That has been done already. The fuel pump has since failed. I would like to find out if there is a fuel pump that can be put on the engine directly without having to use the VRO. I'm sure this has been done before and just need to know what fuel pump was used.

To expand on Richard's suggestion
You could do this:

It isn't recommended because a 12v fuel pump will not shutoff in an emergency due until you flip the switch.

But its an option. I know you can also use a non-vro fuel pump from an older engine. I know that's probably what you want to do but i don't know the part numbers for compatible fuel pumps.

Your right, I'd want to go with a non-vro pump ideally, but this is a very good option. Thank you so much.

The dealer I have been getting my parts from has a pump for a 1994 112HP outboard that fits and works on the 115HP motor. I will try to get a number in the next day or two.

What ever pump you use, should be approved for inboard use. Standard fuel BRP outboard pump is not approved for inboard use. Your dealer should know this.

Two pumps one or the other should work
BRP #0438557
BRP #0438556

The VRO pump is approved when it is inside the fireproof container. Primer bulb not approved also.
