4.3 omc milky oil in motor

hi I hope I.m on the right page for this. I have a 4.3 omc cobra motor boat sat for two years two weeks ago hooked her up to the garden hose and started the motor it ran fine for about 5 minutes then it threw milky water out the valve covers breathing holes drained oil out for 5 days real thick and milky. I put old oil and new filter back on to let it run to start cleaning the old stuff out.but motor would not fire.and cranking it over it started shooting fresh water out the right side valve cover.be for I take motor out I've seen others on here with the same thing .I can't do compresion ck motor won't start . the boat is a 1988 winner escape . so the risers and manifolds would be the same age .so could this problem be the raisers or heads or cracked block. Or should I just put a 4.3 chevy motor back in it . thank you for any help Michael

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,.... My guess is, the Whole thing is Scrap...

Ya might save the accessories, starter, alt. dist, carb, etc...

Yeah, pretty much this. You would have to REALLY love the hull to bother putting the time, effort and money into fixing it.

thank you for your help.That was my thinking about the motor. the out drive was rebuilt when I bought the boat. and the boat is in pretty good shape.So before I cut my lost. I was told that a 4.3 v6 chevy motor would work. My question is will a car or truck motor work in the boat I've been told it will. But I hear alot of back in fort on this matter.Some say the manifolds will bolt up and no big deal to swap out. thank you again for your help michael.

Just use the advanced search tool at the top of the forum..... put your key words in and you will come up with TONS of threads on this same subject (including mine). I just dropped a pretty penny for a brand spanking new 4.3. I love the hull though and plan on keeping it for a long time. You might be better off to go to a place like Rapid-o marine or Michigan Motorz and get a reman marine block. Pretty cheap considering what your'e getting with warranty and all. Something to think about.

Ayuh,.... Swappin' in a truck motor is a cake walk, so long as ya pay attention to the Vintages in the swap,...

The 4.3l went through alota changes over the years,...
Most are adaptable, but some are a pain, 'n others, Expensive...
