Google redirect malware - help!!

Got jammed up with a Root directory malware that I can't seem to shake. Ran full scans with Spyware Doctor and Spyware Hunter and it dumped most of the bugs, but there is a Google Redirect bug that keeps hijacking webpages on me. Usually sends me to benign pages, but it's becoming a real pain. Any one able to help?

I had the same thing and used multiple things from Majorgeeks and Cnet and eventually got rid of it. I cant remember what worked but i do know it was freeware/beta stuff. Malwarebytes was one of them i believe.

if you have a nasty rootkit/malware.

search out Rkill.
Run Rkill, it will stop all services that shouldn't be running. Then run your normal scans.

I've had an occasional problem with malware the makes it look like your computer is running, but won't let me start anything that would detect or remove it.....used the good old boot into safe mode and go back to a store point.
