My 1979 I/O Marlin (170/470) will not start with the key. I believe I have traced the problem to the "neutral start switch".
The volts going into the controller from the key switch is 12 volts, but out to the starter is 4 volts.
I'm trying to confirm this is the issue before I spend money on a used/new controller as they do not make the replacement switch any more. The engine will start just fine if "hotwire" it.
