Can anyone help me figure out what kind of propeller do I have? My engine is 3.0L Mercruiser Alpha one on a 1996 bayliner capri 1750 LS.

Re: Propeller change

Numbers should be on the prop near the base of the blades or under the prop nut.
If you get us the info in the stickys at the top of the prop forum we can help you tell if and what prop change may be necessary.

Re: Propeller change

I can't get accurate numbers since both sites are so worn out..Is there a way to calculate what kind of propeller will be appropriate based on the boat size and engine?

Re: Propeller change

Your best choice is to have a prop shop measure it for you.
Assuming the setup and motor are sound a 21" prop should give you good speed and a decent hole shot.
May struggle a little with water sports.
If the present prop is reasonably good you could do some lightly loaded test runs and get us the wot rpm and speed by gps.
If you read the stickys at the top of the prop forum as well it may help.
