Hi all.
The plastic tab that releases the cylinder broke yesterday on my outboard engine.
The assistant cylinder worked fine just an hour before so it seems likely that I just need to fix the lifter.
PLEASE NOTE: This is not a question about the cylinder but rather how to get the engine up,
Now for the problem.
I tried to drive out the lower axle to be able to lift the engine and remove the wire (my plan is to build an external lifter mechanism with a brake pedal from my Triumph Speed Triple).
The axel is really stuck and apparently corroded, since I destroyed the threads on the axle I can use pretty much any amount of violence to get it out.
I tried loosing it up with WD40/5-56 and a propane torch but its still in there solid, its like hammering om the engine itself.
Any idead? Has anyone tried drilling it out or has any other idea how to get it out or raise the engine without removing the axle?
Tried slowly forcing the engine up with a jack but its a slooow process.
