1958 10 hp johnson seahorse

so i just purchased a 1958 10 hp Johnson seahorse the guy told me it hasn't run in two years so i gave it a ittle tune up then it wont start so i take it apart and notice that the gasket for the carburetor is miss as well as the screws can anyone help me with finding the right gasket or if i can make one and the screw size? thank you

Carb kit including all gaskets is available right here at iboats. Part number 18-7043. Just visualizing it in my head, I would say the screws are probably 8-32 thread. Maybe 6-32. Take it with you to the hardware store.

Hi jp. Welcome to iboats. Cool old motor you got there. I used to have a '61 10 hp, but your '58 has a much cooler paint job. You can get any/all routine parts like carb kits, tune up kits, lower unit serial kits, etc... all right here at iboats for about $25 each. Here are some great links that can walk you through a tune up from top to bottom along with a parts catalog with exploded diagrams for your motor. Good luck. Holler if you get stuck.
