Re: 2003 5.0 Mercruiser stalling when putting into gear (either foward or reverse)
I have had two days on the water with this boat this year with no problems. The third day the engine started stalling when trying to be put into gear (cold or hot). Is this a bad fuel problem or something more serious? Thoughts?
Ayuh,.... My 1st thought is yer lower shift cable is draggin', causin' it to engage the shift switch, Stallin' the motor....
If so,... Ya need a New shift cable, ;n bellows kit to Fix it...
Observe the shift switch when shiftin', in the water...
It shouldn't move goin' In to gear, but only comin' Outa gear...
It shouldn't move, at All, on the wagon....
