Exhaust Routing

Hi All! Quick question...

Just replaced the head gasket on my 3.0L 140HP which is connected to an Alpha One outdrive. It was *my* understanding that most of the exhaust gas and waste coolant water came out the prop. However, we cranked it over and it appears to be coming out of two small ports on either side of the outdrive right up next to the transom.

Is this right or is something wrong?

Excuse the quality, it's only a cell phone video...

Re: Exhaust Routing

Awesome, thanks! Is that because there's too much back pressure from the water once it's in the drink? I'd assume it'd probably idle better with the ports up higher...
