Just picked this up, a Thor 2 cylinder outboard. Serial number 1436, it has seen better days. Anyone know if there is any value left in this motor? SERIAL NUMBER IS 1436

Re: my new aquisition (THOR 2 cylinder)

The twin is relatively uncommon, but not quite rare. The inline triple is RARE. That said, it does have some value, judging by the photos, it's probably parts value. Athough, my Dad restored a Thor single that was even worse off than that. It had spent a few years on the bottom of Long Island Sound and the tank was pinholed, among other things. All depends on how hard someone wants to work at it to salvage it. Yours does have some of the frequently broken parts intact, so that helps. In all likelihood, your motor is probably not going to bring much more than $100 at a swap meet.
