I'm wondering how to adjust the carb on my motor. I don't know anything about it and don't want to lean it out. The lettering is gone off the front cover and I don't know which screw is hi or low.

Hi Nova. Welcome to iboats. I used to have a '61 QD-22 myself. Great little motors. Here are some handy links that can walk you through adjusting the carbs and some other routine maintenance. You can get any routine parts like impellers, carb kits, tune up kits, reseal kits, etc...right here at iboats for about $20 each. Be sure you only ever run the motor in a test tank (barrel, trash can) with water filled up to about inch, or two below the main exhaust port on the back of the motor. Good luck. Holler if you get stuck.
