The motor fires right up, idles smooth and runs strong...pumps water ok. Runs great for about 30-45 min. Then starts to lose power...seems to be leaning out. Gonna try bypassing the bulb and gravity feed the fuel, also add some see thru hose, check pump, etc. Got an IF thermometer and thought i would see how hot its getting too. So, if i aim the thermometer at the head, about what temp should i expect? It doesnt seem to be overheating, but want to eliminate that as a posible cause.

They don't have a thermostat. Depending upon water temperature, head temperature with a non-contact thermometer will range for about 115 up to 180 degrees F. Most times you can touch the head without burning your finger
