I've seen alot on this problem, i call myself mechanicly inclined being a tranmission tech for 25 years and i should breeze right thru this but, it's not working out that way. It all started out when the engine would kill when i shifted into reverse.
Then the remote was jamed up, did some research and found a recall that replaced the remote with gen 2 shift cables.
got it back from the dealer which is absolutlly pathetic and had to readjust myself as to the letter from merc service manual. now when shifting in reverse it in and out of gear as far as i can tell. does this make any since to any of the i/o techs out there?
