Yamaha anode problem

I have a 98 Yamaha 225 ox66. I was replacing the 4 anodes in the engine and I was able to get 3 complete ones out. When I was taking out the 4th one, on the head, I didn't see the anode. I had to brake the top of it to get it out. When I did, the was no anode piece. Now all the others had the piece that goes into the head and block. I looked inside the hole and didn't see it. I also poked around with a small pick to see if I could feel it or see it and nothing. All the other ones where in good shape so I don't see why this one wouldn't have also been good and still there. If by some chance it did break and is inside the water jacket some where, can this become a problem? Or will it desolve eventually?

Re: Yamaha anode problem

If it is inside the motor it can cause blockage or poor circulation and hot spots,
but hard to tell if it would go away anytime soon if at all.
Probably needs to be bonded to block properly to act as a sacrificial anode and corrode away,
Just my thoughts
