Mice ate the foam under the benches of my open sailboat.

Time to fix up the "free boat." (Yeah right, no such thing)

I put it inside for the winter two years ago and mice got into one sail (guess I have to have that professionally patched) and made a nest out of the flotation styrofoam that runs the length of the "benches" that run the length of the inside of the open Tanzer 16.

Here's someone else's before pic. Mine's in a little better shape than this. Except for the foam. And instead of mildew grey, mine is nicely mouse poop brown...

Ill add photos of mine when I get better daylight, but maybe someone has a link to a thread that addresses this? It must be a relatively common repair problem, but most of what I find seems to be more structural foam repair? Or is it the same thing?

Is this what I should be doing---> ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g8u_ax1vnZE

I'd rather not have to take the top of the fiberglass benches off-- is there a way to do this from a smaller hole in the side?
