I've currently got a gunwale ladder for my 1972 Starcraft Super Sport. As anyone who has ever used a gunwale ladder will tell you, they're not exactly perfect. Getting in and out more that 3 times in a day leaves bruises on my forearms and the ladder constantly feels like it's gonna give out at any moment. If everyone is in the water and you're getting in first...well....good luck. I'm 6'2" and 280 lbs....I pull the other side of the boat out of the water which makes it even more difficult. We've got a system going where the first person back in the boat has everyone hold the other side of the boat and if there's someone in the boat running to the other side works. Acceptable is not the word I'd use for a gunwale ladder but it does get you back in the boat without climbing on the vent plate. Does anyone have any suggestions/opinions/thoughts on purchasing an transom mounted outboard boarding ladder like this? Any thoughts on building one from scratch? Pics would be a plus! ;)

Thanks everyone!
