Sorry so slow to reply. There are a couple real nice places, there's Hillsdale south of Olathe, Smithville lake is real nice. other than that you get into the smaller stuff. I recommend hauling it to Pomme De Terre in South central MO or Bull Shoals on the MO/AR border ... real nice lakes, good fishing and water sports, while still avoiding the Lake of the Ozarks crowds.
