Hi All 76 Johnson 85 hp questions.

I picked up a nice old MFG 16ft tri it seams to run ok and pulls good. I checked compression my guage says 110# for all four is that ok? Also noticed a little gas/oil leaking from the carbs when tilted up is that normal? It also bogs just at tad at hole shot, I have had other motors do this I always though it was a two stroke thing. It idles a little funny to me, kinda up and down, there again I thought that is a two stroke thing? I'm thinking it needs the carbs cleaned or rebuilt. It can take a few trys to start after it idles for some time or just bump it 50 yrd moves, two stroke thing? I dont know my boat weight but @ WOT its smooth as can be and pushes it along at 36 mph @ 4800rpm all three gauges say the same (gps, speedo and fish finder). I dont know anything about these motors some info would be great! Thanks Rich
