I have a 1984 century merc 260 21 cuddy. I took a roller and jump completly out water for brif second after landing engine stalled and quit. I tried starting wouldnt start. Notice engine overheated on helm.. I then took off seat to see sizzling water on top. There was not alot of water. I let it cool down for about 10mins and thwn it started and the temp gage went down pretty fast. Boat ran fine rest of the day. Two things also after i got it restarted one of my passenger got a little shock sitting on the seat over the engine. I then notuced the dog cage was off on one side so the seat was down on the engine what gives.
