I recently purchased a 2003 Fisher Hawk with a 190 hp 4.3 MercCruiser. The last time we pulled the boat out of the water I noticed the bilge pump was running even though the switch was in the OFF position. I pulled the wires from the back side of the switch on the control panel with no change. Further troubleshooting revealed that if I have the main ground wire or either of 2 of the 3 accessory wires attached to the negative post, the bilge pump will run. The lower unit trim pump ground wire is the only negative wire that won't cause the bilge pump to operate. Any suggestions?
