I have a Bayliner 2858 with a Mercruiser 496 Mag HO engine. Still trying to troubleshoot PS problems. My question is: What is the purpose of the Pressure Sensor (Part # 8M6000623) on the power steering cooler? Does it control anything or is it just for reporting information? It is item #29 in the picture at the following link:
