My prop took a hit here in Texas with the low water levels in Lake Travis. I found a few people selling them locally. Can anyone share their experiences? I found a 14 1/8 x 20p Michigan Wheel 4 Blade stainless steel prop for about $200 but not sure how it will perform on my 2004 Bayliner 175? I mostly use the boat for skiing and wakeboarding so I think 4 blade pro is best.

What pitch and diameter and bladed prop did you have on there before? What was the top RPM and MPH the boat could reach with that prop?

Also, what engine, is it original, original drive, etc. Being a Bayliner 175 is is probably the 3.0l with a ~2.0 ratio drive, but it is always good to hear it from the owner.

It's the stock mercruiser 3.0. Not sure on the RPMs but max speed was around 38. Pulls wakeboard and slalom no problem, and I bought it used so the prop already have a few small dings in it. I've read some wakeboard forums where they used a 14.125 20p with 4 blades and it worked great. Found this one online so I thought I'd give it a try, but ask first before buying. Thanks!

But was that with your exact boat? Do you have the old prop? Did it work OK? As Maclin asked, what was it? Numbers from the back of the hub?

Its the stock 14.25 21p prop that came with it. It had some dings from the get go so I don't know hot it "should" perform. I have the old prop, but with the recent new gash, it's really struggling! I'm wondering if 4 blades will give me a better hole shot?
