Hello all how are we doing? I just had a quick question for all you engine builders. When I am rebuilding the inboard motor on my boat do I need to get marine head gaskets and main/rod bearings and piston rings? Or can I go get those items from like AutoZone? It is just a Chevy 4.3l V6. I know certain things need to be marine but I didn?t know how much was actually different as far as the internals of the engine?

Thanks
Matt

Ayuh,... Generally speakin' the motor's internals are standard production parts...

Head gaskets oughta be marine, 'n the brass core plugs of course...
