On the 4th, we went camping with some friends. They brought along their boat and we launched it at the ramp in the park. As we were leaving on our side of the ramp, there was an indivudual on the other half tied to the dock and blocking the ramp, trying to get his boat started. Cover off the outboard, so they had obviously been working on it for some time. Mark (my friend) mentions politely to the guy that when you have boat issues you common courtesy (which is never common) dictates moving the boat off the ramp. Guy is obviously deaf and dumb (not really deaf, just unwilling to listen, and not mute, but really dumb). The thing is the lake bottom was firm, sandy and shallow, so moving it would have been no hassle. That was why I said I was not taking my boat for the entire week of the 4th. Independence Day does not give you the right to be stupid.

Everyone has the right to be stupid... it is a shame that too many people abuse that right though.
