Is there Drive Shower available for VP Drives? Are they necessary for VP Drives or only Merc?

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,....
Merc out-numbers Volvos by the Thousands to 1, 'n Volvos aren't known for bein' Hi-performance...

Hence, there's hundreds of showers for Mercs, 'n No, I've never seen 1 for a Volvo...

Why do you need one? Is your gear lube black and smell burned when you change it? What model drive?

I've got a 2008 VP DPS-A Drive(I believe the year of the new design...i.e crappy Trim pump)...don't have the actual # available handy.


Was inquiring about Drive Showers for a couple of reasons:

1. Pure curiousity because I've owned Merc in the past and this is my first VP.
2. Noticed some hard water build up on the top of the drive and my first thought was a Drive Shower.

Oil is not black and I have no other reason to suspect high heat on this drive.

All drives get hot on top and get hard water build up. That is normal.
No, there are no companies that make them for that drive. Way too new.
