Boat Leveling Co. Trim Tabs?

I have a good working set of trim tabs from Boat Leveling Co. St Louis, MO (exactly what it says). I'm looking to bit a trim tab indicator on because I dry store the boat in the summer and that fork lift will take them right off if they aren't up all the way. Are these guys still around? Or is there anyone who makes parts for this system? I hate to replace a perfectly good working system just because I can't get parts for it.

They have changed their name to Insta-Trim and are still around. I had a set of these on my 21' Angler and they worked flawlessly. Installed them in about 1.5 hours. I never used a trim tab indicator, though. When you're done boating, run them in the UP position for 4-5 seconds. They are hydraulic, so you'll never burn out the unit.

Tagerman,

Another option is to install an Auto Tab Retractor, it automatically brings the Trim Tabs to the full up position every time you switch off the ignition. The system includes instructions how to wire it into a Boat Leveler system http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/catalog.php?vID=92&cID=3

Seems to me that the forklift operators, and the Marina, should have a lot of experience with avoiding trim tab destruction. You should ask them. Indicators are somewhat of a big job.

I appreciate the recommendations! That auto retractor looks like the thing for me. As soon as I get paid I will be ordering one. Are they difficult to install? I'm a mechanic and buddies with the mechanic at my marina so they will let me work on my own boat. The lift operators at the marina don't have teeth...i don't trust them.

Tagerman,

Installation is quite easy it's wired into the ignition and Trim Tab switch behind the dashboard. Here is a link to the wiring instructions http://www.bennetttrimtabs.com/pdf/instIcon/ATRINST.pdf
