Hello Guys

I was about to change the thermostat today but the new springs were really hard, then i found the old ones and i could feel that they were not as hard as the new ones. The problem is that in order to get the cover and everyting back togheter i have to press the springs really hard in so it will fit.
Is this normal or are the springs the wrong ones, everything else in the thermostat kit fits perfectly?

The red springs are the new ones...

Hope you can help me.

Jannik

Spring tension gets reduced over time, particularly if run in salt water.

Hello again
The springs came with the T-stat kit that i bought on ebay and they seem to be the right ones but they are just much more hard then the ones that i took out. The motor has 90% of saltwater time so maybe the old springs are just worn down.

If they came with the kit, put them in.
