I recently brought a 1986 ranger with a 115 mercury thunderbolt motor. When I hit the trim up button it works fine and shoots right up. When I hit the down button it takes about 15 seconds of what sounds like puttering and then it finally starts to slowly creep down. The fluid is full. There is a little bit of smoke that comes from the top of the pump where what looks like the ground wire is connected. Any suggestions/solutions?? I'm brand new to boats
