Hello Everyone,
Im pretty new to this fourm but have noticed that everone on here has great advice and is more then willing to help. To start off ill try to give some information.
This will be my first boat I have owned so I am pretty new to what i should look for and also what types of engines/ outdrives i should stay away from.
I live in North Dakota and would be using this boat on the Missuori River and also on a mid sized lake. I have been searching online and have been looking at boats in the 17ft to 20ft lenght. I will mainly be using the boat to pull tubers and skiers and also just for entertainment. I have decided that i would like a boat with an i/o motor.
I guess my main question would be is there a certain sized motor I should have (2.5L,3.0L,4.3L etc.) and is there a type of motor or outdrive i should stay away from (Mercruiser, OMC, Volvo etc.). I just want to make sure im not going to be buying me something that is going to have problems and that requires alot of maintenece.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance..
