Turn key and nothing then fires

Today we went out for the first time in almost two weeks and turned the key and nothing then after a few twists of the key she fired right up, I'm thinking ignition. Did it after sitting for a few hours at the beach too. There was no clicking like a bad starter or any noise for that fact. Could the ignition cylinder have some corrosion building up on it?

Check for loose or corroded battery connections. By "ignition", I take it you mean "ignition switch". That would be the net thing to check.

I'll have to double check but both batteries are new and connections were like new when we first splashed it in may.
