I repaced the exhaust manifolds thinking they were the culprit. Still overheats. Took the impeller out so I could run my muffs on water directly to the engine but the water at the t-stat housing is sparse. Can the hose inside the gimble housing or the hose inside the boat corrode to the point it will block water? I'm stumped. Thanks for any advice.

Checked water flow to engine with water hose disconnected and impeller removed. Muffs had good pressure but still no water up through transom and into engine compartment. Thinking it has to be a clogged hose in the transom or something is clogged in the outdrive. Any ideas???

Well there is usually a power steering cooler between the outdrive and the thermostat housing. If clogged it will cause flow issues. But you still need the impeller to draw water from the muffs to the engine when running on the hose.
