Hi All,

Bit of a newbie here. My dad picked up a 1961 Johnson 5.5 Sea Horse CD-18 F a few years ago. It appears to be in tip-top shape, pretty clean, new spark plugs, lubed up. Only problem is that my dad seems to have lost the gas hose to connect the tank to the motor.

I stopped by the local West Marine and the guys there couldn't help me.

Here's a few pics, can anyone direct me to a specific replacement hose and/or possibly just replacing the gas tank as well.

thanks a ton!

That motor takes the same fuel hose as any other OMC outboard, from 1960 - to present. The boy at the counter must not have known what he was talking about and probably thought you had the older twin line set up. Sheesh, the clowns we have in customer service these days.

Wal-Mart will have it too.

Thank you sir! yeah, I thought it looked standard but I think the West Marine guy was uncertain about the two small pins on the tank side.

One more question: if I'm hauling this Outboard in my trunk, does it matter which side I set it down on?

thanks again,

Tim

You want the shifter side up. They break way too easily. Lay it on a folded tarp to cushion it too.
