I'm trying to run my motor after winter storage for the first time, but cannot get it to start or run at idle speed. I have to pump the throttle several times to get it to start and then keep the motor rpm above 2500 while running, otherwise it will stall right away when I back off the throttle. This is the first time I've had this problem with this motor.
I've done the following to try to correct it, but still no success:
1. change oil and filter
2. new spark plugs
3. new fuel filter
4. adjust carb. idle speed
5. verify that carb. enrichment module has power and is heating up
6. spray Sea Foam carb cleaner in throat of carb
7. add fuel stabilizer to gas tank
I haven't tried to adjust the carb idle mixture screw because I don't have the special tool required!!
Any other suggestions??
