Sorry if this question is redundant, I did search the forum but couldn't find anything related.
I have a 90hp 2-stroke Mercury that is from 2002 or so on my pontoon that I purchased from a family member. Can anybody here please help me with replacing the throttle control on the console?? I need to replace the one on there, was told it is not the correct controller for it after it broke.
I took it to a marine shop and they quoted me the OEM control for almost $900 plus labor, said they don't do aftermarket. I had a mobile mechanic look at it and he said he'd find one for me but hasn't after almost 2 months.
I'm ready to get this boat on the water and am afraid to sink any more money into paying a mechanic to look at it to tell me more of the same.
