Just purchased a New Ignition Switch for a 1988 115hp 4 cyl Merc., problem is original switch has no markings as what wire goes to what, can anyone asst. with a wiring schematic, or what wire goes to what. I did see where a very similar question was replied to a couple years back, would just like to verify,

Red - Bat.
Yellow - Start Solenoid, (yellow/red neutral switch)
Yellow/Black - Choke
Blk - Gnd
Purple - Ignition hot - instruments, etc.
Pink - Fuel Guage

Those wire colors are correct. Starter solenoid is typically yellow/red. you will also need to connect the black/yellow wire, as that is ign kill wire. it should be grounded to black wire when ign switch is off. Grey is tach signal
