I have 1999 Volvo Penta 4.3 GL motor that the impeller failed, is there a step by step document or site that can walk me though on how to back flush the motor out so I don't have to fork over $$$ at a dealer?
Check the thermostat housing carefully and stick a coathanger through all of the hose fittings to make sure there are no bits of impeller in there as well. You may as well change the thermostat, gasket and o ring while you have it apart, an ounce of prevention = a pound of cure............
