I have the info of the s/n plate. Could you tell me what type of boat and year???

I bout a used boat cleaned it up and found the s/n plate. trying to figure out the year make and model so i can registure it. this is what i found

1015 FV-2-136-1

MOT is Monterey Marine In Stuart Florida. 236747 is the serial number. I'm lost on the date - the last 4 numbers should be a date code: letter for the month, number for the date, and then two digits for the year. They were in business from 12/5/84 to 2/20/03, so the year falls somewhere in that range.

What state are you in? I'm in Florida, and down here you can go the the tag office with the hull ID and they can track down owner, get a duplicate title, transfer and register, etc. Where did you get the boat? Did the owner have a title? Hopefuly he signed over a title, otherwise I'm not sure this is going to be easy for you to register.

I live in Ontario Canada. I bought the boat off a friends dad, he boaught it off a guy a long long time ago and can't find the ownership. but i can post some pic s for you.. not the best quality as they came from my phone but i will try to get better ones when i get home.. ok i tried to upload the pics and it shows an orange bubble beside the pics
