Trimm problem

I own a 24ft Sweetwater 2004 with a 2005 75hp evenruid engine. If you floor the engine no matter how many people are on board the boat will come up and then it will sound like it is gaining RPMS and even though the trimm works perfectly it will not plane out.You have to back down the throttle to get it on plane. We changed the prop it seamed to help a little. Is this a prop issue or is the engine just to small for the boat even though it was the engine sold brand new with the boat. If anyone knows why this does this i would like to hear from you. Thanks

Re: Trimm problem

If the engine is already mounted all the way down on the transom, then a prop with extra cupping will help (Sometimes called 'Double Cupped"). Have you tried moving more weight toward the rear of the boat? Weight up front will make the problem worse. Also, what prop are you running and what is the diameter and pitch?
